John Emory Weatherwax b:23Nov1844Rensselaer co NY was the son of John Weatherwax and Sarah Lamphere. His parents migrated to Michigan by 1860 settling in Macomb co. MI. By 1878 John had migrated to Panama. Lancaster co. NE where he married Susan Isabell Weaverling. They married on 23 Apr 1878 (NE Marriage records). They had a son named Burdette Emery Weatherwax b: 17 Apt 1882 in Beatrice,Gage co NE. Shortly after the birth of this son his wife Susan died. He then married Susan's sister Margaret E. Weaverling on 10 Aug 1882 in Panama Lancaster NE (NE Marriage records). Together they  had three daughters: Susan Clair b:1882,Jennette K. b:1884;and Zima Zoe b:1885. Then either Margaret died or they divorced before 1887. On 19 May 1887 John married for the third time to Elizabeth Rutter, dau of  Oliver W. Rutter and Mary E. Womansee. They had a daughter Bessie b: May 1889. Then John divorced Elizabeth sometime before USC1900 where he appears as single.
 Elizabeth Rutter would go on to marry a William L Reeder they appear in USC1900 along with her daughter Bessie Weatherwax in Beatrice Gage NE. John appears in USC1910 in Kansas City MO living with son Burdette Emery Weatherwax. He died there on 28 Jan 1924 (MO Death certificate). He is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery same location. Johns parents remain a mystery to me still. His father was b: c1807 and died after USC1870 in Branch co MI. Some of their children and spouse migrated on to Michigan and Missouri along with their parents, but I am still trying to determin John's parents.

Lucius N. Weatherwax #2952, page 467.
Additional research has confirmed that he was born Lucius N. Nelson. Son of Alick J. Nelson and Mary E. Clark. They married on 24 Dec 1888 in Gratiot,MI. Lusius was born Jun 1889 in Gratiot. He appears in USC 1900 with the family of Joseph H. Weatherwax (8679) as Lucius N. Weatherwax. After the death of Joseph WX his mother then lists him as Lucius N. Nelson.In USC 1920 we find that Mary E. Clark/Nelson/Weatherwax has remarried to a Arthur Demott. Mary's children by Joseph Weatherwax i.e. Joseph E. WX and Lois M. WX appear with her in Lee Midland,MI. as well as her daughter Garda M. Demott.

Nellie Trehey pgs 368-369. In some records she appears as Nellie TRAY.Additional research indicates her father was Michael Trahey (USC1860 Jackson co MI) After the death of Andrew J. Weatherwax in 1878, Nellie remarried to a Charles Bates.
In USC1880 she appears with her mother in Jackson co MI.USC1900 she appears with 2nd husband Charles Bates in Lake,Huron co MI. They have 3 children. Nellie died 21 Sep 1909 in Pontiac,Oakland co MI. She is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery same location date of burial based on her death certificate was 24 Sep 1909.

The following corrections should be noted based on more research.
Her Husband Samuel T. Simmons moved the family to Webster co Iowa in 1860. There Samuel enlisted in D co. 16th Iowa inf. Regiment (abt 1862). He mustered out of service on or about 22 Feb 1864.
When his wife Sarah K. Weatherwax applied for her widows pension she uses this date as his mustered out date. She applied for the Widows pension on  21 Mar 1867, leading me to believe he was granted an Invalid pension on 22 Feb 1864, and died before the 21 Mar 1867 date of application. Clearly he was receiving $8.00 monthly as a pension until her application in 1867. In the application she clearly lists each child with dob as follows:
1. Eva A. Simmons b:Feb 26,1851
2.Augusta C. Simmons b: Apr 21,1853
3. George L. Simmons b: Jan 18,1855
4. Jesse Ionia Simmons b: Jul 19,1857
5. Clara A. Simmons b: Jul 20,1859 All above born in Branch co MI
6. John T. Simmons b: Jul 201861 Webster co IA
.
Sarh remained in Webster co IA in USC  1870 still in Sumner,Webster,IA. By USC 1900 she has returned to Branch co MI where she appears with her father in Quincy,Branch co MI ( Sarah Simon) w/ John T. Weatherwax. In USC 1910 she appears for the last time in quincy,MI. I was not able to locate her in USC1880 anywhere. She is buried in Quincy,Branch,MI in Lakeview Cemetery.
For those who are interested I do have marriages for most of her children etc. email me if you want or need that info. It will be reflected in my planned 10 year update to the Weatherwax Genealogy due in 2020 or thereabouts if I am still going strong.

Julia Weatherwalks b:1840

Julia Weatherwalks b:1840 NY,probably in Cromwell,Orange co NY. She was the daughter of Philip Weatherwalks and wife Mary. An additional marriage was found for her to a: John Thompson on 30 Jul 1858 in Passiac co. NJ. Her second husband as listed in my book was Charles Warner they married on 6 Sep 1884 in Pompton,Passiac NJ. I will now try to confirm and children for these couples.

Weatherwax and Cipperly families

During my work on The Weatherwax Genealogy 1710-1930 it became clear there were multi generational marriages and connections to the Sipperly/Cipperly family. I saved this data as my research grew and now am working on a Sipperly/Cipperly Genealogy. This other Palatine family started with the family of  Bernhard Zipperle (Hunters list #844). Like our Weatherwax family numerous spelling variations and miss spellings of the surname exist. Migration patterns for this family as very similar to the Weatherwax family as well.
If you have any Sipperly/Cipperly data you are willing to share or a question etc feel free to share them here. I am also working on the Cipperly/Sipperly message boards at Ancestry.com. Right now I believe I have over 2000 of this family identified and linked back to Bernhard. This will be a much smaller book than the Weatherwax book. I may also start another project in the future on the Grauberger family.
